What will my donation be used for?
Donations can be used to cover any shortcomings with our standard funding model, however donations given from the public allows us greater operational flexibility in terms of what we can provide for our members as standard funding is limited in what we are allowed to use that funding for.
Gift Aid
If an individual chooses to donate €250 or more in a year, then that individual can increase their donation at no extra cost to them by selecting to avail of a government backed scheme called “Gift Aid,” with this scheme a registered Charity can claim back 31% on a donation they receive.
If a company chooses to donate €250 or more in a year, then that company can claim a tax deduction as if the donation was a trading expense.
