Good News…!
If an individual donates €250 or more to the Dolmen Clubhouse in a single year, the government will allow the Dolmen Clubhouse to claim back 31% refund of tax paid on a donation, this is called Gift Aid. So a donation of €250 now increases in value to €362.32 to the Dolmen Clubhouse at no extra cost to you.
How does it work?
You simply fill in a very short Annual Certificate (CHY4) form which is valid for a year or an Enduring Certificate (CHY3) form which is valid for 5 years. Both forms are very easy to fill in and require the same information on both, so it is just a personal preference which form you choose to go for.
Information Required on the forms.
Your Name
PPSN Number
Address
Phone Number
Email address
Year / Tax Year
Amount Donated
Download the Revenue forms here:
Annual Certificate CHY4 (Yearly)
Enduring Certificate CHY3 (5 Year Certificate)
You then give us your form that you filled in and by doing so you have giving us permission to contact Inland Revenue to make a claim for the 31% Tax on the donation. Any information you provide to us is covered under GDPR and we do not share your information with anybody else other than what it was originally collected for which was to pass it on to Revenue. The claim must be made within a four year limit, however we will be making the claim in a timely fashion in order to not hold on to your information for long as we have to.
How to make your donation go further.
If a company donates €250 or more in a year, the company can claim a tax deduction as if the donation was a trading expense.
For Example: If a company donates €1,000 to the Dolmen Clubhouse then the actual cost to the company is €875 because the company can claim back €125 in tax.
All information can be found on the Inland Revenue Website.
